Name of the Wind Chandrian Alternate

Patrick Rothfuss and Echo Chernik are teaming up to bring you deluxe playing cards, fully illustrated and featuring your favorite characters from The Name of the Wind, the first Kingkiller Chronicle novel.

When first discussing this project, Pat and Echo both struggled when trying to decide which 12 characters would get to be face cards. Eventually, they realized that they didn’t have to decide, and would instead let you decide which characters you want in your deck. What makes this deck truly unique is its customizability.

The Name of the Wind playing card series includes two collections of decks created by Echo Chernik, each with not one, but two distinct decks that have matching back, but different face cards, letting fans choose their favorite characters from each of the two matching decks and combine them to showcase their favorite characters, all while still having two complete, playable decks of cards.
